Christmas Carol Service - a great community effort!

We were joined by singers from the Linlithgow Ladies Choir, and volunteers from the local community; our musical accompaniment was provided not only by church organist, Dr John Wilmett but also by the Linlithgow String Orchestra and we featured two young soloists who showed off their musicality and calm demeanour as well as their sweet voices in their respective solos. Former Royal Marine and local personal trainer was also a fine soloist in John Rutter's "Rise Up, Shepherd". The unaccompanied choral items were well-delivered and the inspired congregation responded with some hearty singing.
Our service concluded with the lively opening movement of Handel's Organ Concerto, Op. 4 No. 4.
It has been exciting to play a part in reviving community music-making at St Michael's. I look forward to more opportunities next year.
