In 1950 came the film Destination Moon which captured the mood of the time for space exploration and the excitement of reaching the moon. At around the same time came Volume 16 of Herge's "Tintin" which was entitled "Objectif la Lune". Then came Marvin Fisher's song "Destination Moon" and made particularly famous initially by Nat King Cole.
